Running

This morning is Run for the Zoo.  I will be running the 5k as I did last year.  Yesterday I ran 2.5 miles so I am a little concerned how it will go today.  I rarely run two days in a row but that is about to change for sure!
Today marks the first day of my training for 10K by mid July and Half Marathon by mid October. 
I am well aware of how hard the training is going to be.  I am going to have to be very determined and make myself go running all of the 4 days per week that is recommended.  That is going to be tough for me but I really have no excuses!  I have plenty of time if I manage it better and I have a membership at a lovely gym with great treadmills and an indoor running track (even if it is very short).  So, if there is some reason for me not to run outside, I have every opportunity to run indoors. 
I am 40 years old and hit the scales at 206 pounds this morning, down about 15 pounds since January.  Losing pounds is not what this training is all about though.  I just really want to be a successful runner.  That half marathon is calling my name and I will be so proud of myself when I get there!
